Ssh... we've won some top awards
We’ve been on a bit of a roller coaster journey in the last couple of months. Earlier in the year we picked up two awards from Cumbria Life Magazine, at their Food and Drink awards held at Kendal College. One award as best Hotel Restaurant of the Year and the other as Best Newcomer.
But that’s not all… in May we popped down to the capital to attend a bit of a do at The Savoy, we’d been invited to the 15th Tatler Restaurant Awards. Andrew Wildsmith and Tom Lewis joined the illustrious gathering as Jeremy Wayne, Tatler’s Restaurant Editor presented awards during the event.
Winners included; Orrery, who won the Test of Time award, Les 110 de Taillevent, who bagged the Best Wine List award, Hibiscus claimed the Best Kitchen award. Much to Andrew and Tom’s surprise we received one of the awards too – Tatler’s Best Kept Secret Award.
Needless to say all three awards are gracing the shelves in reception at Forest Side. The team are more than a little pleased with their haul so far, which they are lovingly polishing on an almost daily basis!
