Forest Side to feature in national TV series
Members of the team from Forest Side, Grasmere, are set to feature in a new national TV series, which will air throughout the summer.
The first programme in the new More4 series entitled ‘The Yorkshire Dales & The Lakes’ hits our TV screens tonight (Tuesday 04 July) at 9pm.
The show follows a range of remarkable characters who live and work in what is now England’s biggest expanse of protected countryside – The Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks.
Episode 5 to be screened on More4 at 9pm on Tuesday 01st August is no exception, providing a unique behind the scenes look at Grasmere’s Forest Side, as the cameras follow members of the team; including head chef Kevin Tickle, as they go about their business creating dishes for the Michelin starred restaurant.
From summer through to spring, ‘The Yorkshire Dales and The Lakes’ celebrates real life in these two iconic National Parks through the eyes of people who live and work in Yorkshire and Cumbrian, giving context and continuity as the seasons ebb and flow.
Forest Side’s Head Chef Kevin Tickle, said: ‘’We are really pleased to have had the opportunity to play a small part in More4’s ‘The Yorkshire Dales & The Lakes’. Hopefully it will allow viewers to get under the skin of these two stunning National Parks, to see both areas through the eyes of those who are fortunate enough to call these remarkable landscapes home and gain an insight into what our communities are about…’’
